Installing Optical Transceivers (QSFP28 / SFP)
Procedure for inserting QSFP28 uplink and SFP management transceivers into switch ports.
Wear an ESD grounding wrist strap. Do not look directly into optical fiber bores when transceiver is powered.
- Remove dust protective caps from the transceiver module slot.
- Align the QSFP28 or SFP module with the port guide rails in correct orientation.
- Gently slide the transceiver into the port slot until it clicks firmly into place.
