3 (1)(n): FW and Secure Data Deletion Tool (Firmware, security update requirements, and secure data deletion requirements) To safely delete data the OS level software controlled by the customer must be used. Celestica will support firmware per Erp requirements "free of charge or at a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory cost."

Delete data from drives

To delete user data from drives, use the following command from the host:

sg_sanitize

Example:

sg_sanitize -O --zero /dev/sg[number] or /dev/sd[number]
Note: This operation may take hours to complete. Progress can be checked using the sg_requests command.

Use enclosure CLI

Delete data from drives

To delete user data from the drives, use the below command from the Host

sg_sanitize

Eg.

sg_sanitize -O --zero /dev/sg[number] or /dev/sd[number]

The operation will take hours to complete
