Rack Installation (ES1500-8P Only)
CAUTION: To allow for sufficient cooling, do not stack another device directly above or below.
- Attach chassis to bracket
- Place the ES1500 upside down on a clean, flat, and stable surface.
- Place the mount bracket onto the bottom of the switch, positioning it on the line marked 'RACK' on the switch bottom.
- Fix the mounting bracket and the chassis together using four (4) provided M4 pan head screws. The screw locations are designated by holes marked with 'R' on the bottom surface of the bracket.
- Attach ear and rail kit brackets
- Attach one rail bracket to the left side of the chassis using four (4) flat head M4 screws.
- Attach one ear bracket to the left side of the chassis using four (4) flat head M4 screws.
- Attach one rail bracket to the right side using four (4) flat head M4 screws.
- Attach one ear bracket to the right mount bracket using four (4) flat head M4 screws.
- Install square nuts onto rack
- Install floating nuts (provided in the accessory kit) onto 19" rack post holes as shown. Use a flat blade screwdriver to assist if needed. There are two (2) floating nuts for each rack post, amounting to eight (8) floating nuts in total.

- Installing the chassis into the rackCAUTION: It is recommended to use two people to lift and align the chassis with the rack rails.
- Have one person hold the chassis and attached rails ( a.k.a. "the assembly") in front of the rack, the other person will stand behind the rack.
- The person standing in front of the rack will move the assembly into the desired location within the rack. Use the removable guide pins to align the assembly (Detail 1) to both sides, ensuring the left and right sides are level.
- Carefully connect the inner and outer halves of each rail. Do not damage the protective film (Detail 2).
- Use the rear guide pins to align the rear rails (Detail 3) to both sides of the rack.
- Secure using two (2) of the provided M6 screws at each corner (Details 4,5).
